Description
The Trek Emonda SL 8 finished with the light Sram Red 22 is part of the Ermonda series. This series is designed to be the lightest production race bike in the world. These techniques are also used in the Trek Emonda SL 8. The Ultralight 500 OCLV carbon frame, the Ride tuned tube optimisation: everything to make this frame as light as possible and as fast as possible.
The BB90 bottom bracket that is characteristic for Trek is wide, but is stiffer and saves a lot of weight. The Sram Red 22 kit has set a new standard. Not only when it comes to weight, but also functionality. Red 22 is the first 11-speed group that thanks to the Yaw front derailleur without trim can use all possible shift combinations. 11-speed means in this case 22 speed!
Note: All the bikes sold by Mantel come with the front brake on the left, and the rear brake on the right of the handlebar. If you’re accustomed to another set-up, then consider having this changed by an expert, or take your time to get used to the current set-up.
