Comfort comes not only from excellent geometry, but also from the special IsoSpeed dampers found on the carbon variants of the Trek Domane range. With room to mount very wide tyres, Trek Domane is even suitable for use as a gravel bike. As one of the big players in cycling, Trek faced a big mystery. How do we build a comfortable road bike that is as efficient as possible? The answer was found in the form of the Trek Domane. Not for nothing is this the bike used by absolute top cyclists to conquer the rough cobbled roads in Belgium and northern France as well as the gravel paths of Tuscany.
Demonstration of innovation: IsoSpeed
Trek's road bikes are the right choice for everyone. The Trek Domane is a comfortable endurance bike. Besides a pleasant geometry, the development of IsoSpeed is a particularly important point that makes the Trek Domane offer a lot of comfort. With IsoSpeed at the rear seat tube 'decouples' from the top tube, allowing vertical deflection. Whereas many systems that deliver equal levels of comfort result in less efficient power transfer, this is not the case with IsoSpeed. The aluminium Domane models do not have the so-called IsoSpeed dampers, but offer extra damping through a special IsoSpeed front fork.
Never again saddlebags
While saddle bags are an indispensable accessory for many, other cyclists feel they should not be on a road bike for aesthetic reasons. The carbon Trek Domane SL series offers the solution to this: an internal storage compartment. With the accompanying BITS storage bag, you can now easily carry your extra tube, CO2 pump, tyre levers and special BITS multitool.
Bontrager parts
Trek has an in-house brand for developing high-quality parts: Bontrager. The founder of this brand, Keith Bontrager, was one of the great pioneers in developing the modern mountain bike. This innovative nature can still be seen at the brand, with carbon playing an important role. You can therefore be sure that the saddles, handlebars, stems and all other parts are of high quality.
Race DNA
Since its introduction in 2012, the Trek Domane has been one of the most sought-after bikes. With Fabian Cancellara's help, this bike was developed to shine during the toughest spring classics. By pairing the high comfort level with great sporting performance in the highest quality Trek Domane SLR series, Cancellara managed to win many races. Still today, riders like Jasper Stuyven and Mads Pedersen manage to deliver great performances on the Trek Domane. As a result, this comfortable endurance bike has actually won every major race on cobblestones at some point!
Explore the unknown
The Trek Domane offers the possibility to mount tyres up to a width of 38mm. This gives the Trek Domane you the ability to go further, where other road bikes have to stop. Mount a pair of cyclocross tyres or gravel bike tyres and explore the unpaved trails. Because the Trek Domane features lugs to attach mudguards, you can even stay clean during a muddy ride.
