Comfort in the saddle

If you're looking for a high-quality road bike for comfortable long distance riding, scroll or swipe down to learn more about the Trek Domane SL 6 gen 4!
The base of the Trek Domane SL 6 is its sophisticated carbon frame. This frame is stiff, which makes for responsive and enjoyable handling. The cables run through the frame, where they are well protected from precipitation and dirt. In addition, Trek uses the IsoSpeed concept on the Domane; this concept is used at the rear of the bike to dampen vibrations and reduce fatigue. This allows you to continue to ride comfortably even during the last few kilometres.
High-quality drivetrain
For gear shifting, this Domane road bike has the electronic Shimano 105 Di2 gear group. It provides excellent shifting performance, and shifts smoothly and quickly. The bike comes with no less than 24 gears and an 11-34 cassette. This gives you a large gear range, so you can climb in your preferred gears in the mountains. On the descents, you can rely on the hydraulic disc brakes, which deliver powerful braking performance in good as well as bad conditions. The brakes are easy to modulate to give you great confidence when cornering.
Wide tyres
Trek has selected 32 mm wide tyres for the Domane. They give you great comfort and security on any surface. Should you want to swap them for even wider tyres, you can certainly do so; there is clearance for tyres up to 38 mm wide, allowing you to go gravel riding as well. In addition, the tyres and rims are tubeless ready. So with a small adjustment, you can ride tubeless. When riding tubeless, you have lower rolling resistance and are much less likely to get stranded with a flat tyre.

The bike is an absolute winner.
The bike is exactly as I had hoped when I ordered it. It looks great and rides even better. From shifting to the saddle to cushioning bumps in the road-everything it does is absolutely flawless. The storage compartment is also a nice addition, where you can easily carry snacks or tools. I bought the bike for one specific purpose: fast and long rides through the Dutch countryside. People can complain all they want about the fact that this bike weighs almost 9 kilos, but in the end, you can lift it with two fingers, and it is light enough for just about anyone. You can ride it fast, you can ride it quietly-whatever you're looking for, this bike has it all. Absolutely recommended.
