Description
The new Trek Procaliber 9.7 is a very fast bike, intended for riders who want maximum speed on any trail.
Newly designed carbon frame*
The heart of the new Procaliber 9.7 is the beautiful and modern frame. Thanks to the modified geometry, the handling characteristics have been taken to an even higher level. The slacker head angle makes it feel even more stable on technical courses, but it's still just as agile as the swingarm is wonderfully short, as is the stem. Due to the rigidity in the frame, the Procaliber is very fast, but also comfortable thanks to the Isospeed decoupler.
The RockShox Reba RL fork is stiff for extra steering precision, but also responds smoothly to always maintain control. At full speed, this fork really comes into its own. For maximum efficiency, the fork can be locked from the handlebars. Together with the light carbon frame, the Procaliber 9.7 has a perfect basis for maximum speed.
*Frame size S has a slightly different looking frame with a slight kink in the top tube
Huge range of the Sram Eagle powertrain
Trek chose the Procaliber 9.7 over the new Sram GX Eagle drivetrain. With the gigantic 10-52 cassette you have a very wide range. As usual, the shifting actions are fast and precise, as you are used to from Sram.
Beautiful parts
The further equipment of the Procaliber 9.7 also matches the high level of the bike. The wheels are also made of carbon. This guarantees that no energy is lost here either and that all energy is converted into pure speed. For extra comfort and to lose a few grams of weight, the seatpost is also made of carbon. Details such as fine ESI grips around the light bars complete the bike.
In short, if you are looking for a fast, well specced hardtail then the Trek Procaliber 9.7 should be high on your list.
