Description
The Giant Anthem X Advanced 29er is a lightning fast xc-racer that offers full control on rough terrain. Keep on riding with this light composite xc-racer. It was designed to give the Giant elite riders all possible advantages on technical cross country-trails. That’s why this composite-rocket combines the legendary performances of the Anthem with 100 mm Maestro-suspension with a special 29er frame design. The stiff, super light hand-built main frame of Advanced grade composite-material and the 100 mm suspended front fork are your ticket to the highest step on the podium. The frame technology consists of, among other things, the Giant’s OverDrive head tube that is stiffer for sharper handling and internal cable routing.
OVERDRIVE
FEATURES: Giant's original oversized fork steerer-tube technology. Designed to provide solid front-end steering performance, the system's oversized headset bearings and tapered steerer tube provide optimal steering stiffness. Road models feature 1 1/8-inch top and 1 1/4-inch bottom bearings, while the mountain version features 1 1/8-inch top and 1 1/2-inch bottom bearings.
ADVANTAGES: OverDrive provides up to 15 percent more torsional steering stiffness than straight steerer-tube designs. This translates into much more accurate steering input from a rider's hands, through the handlebar and stem, and down to the front wheel. Whether hammering uphill or carving through a corner, OverDrive transmits input directly to the front wheel for more precise handling.
Note: All the bikes sold by Mantel come with the front brake on the left, and the rear brake on the right of the handlebar. If you’re accustomed to another set-up, then consider having this changed by an expert, or take your time to get used to the current set-up.
