The new top e-bike from Batavus
When designing the Batavus Velder E-go Power Plus, this Dutch brand did a top-notch job. Making an e-bike with an intube battery for this price is already astonishing, but then also equipped with a powerful Bosch Performance Line motor, robust Nexus 5 hub and hydraulic disc brakes is almost a miracle.
With the purchase of the Batavus Velder E-go Power Plus you get a great electric city bike at your disposal.
The Batavus Velder E-go Power Plus is a completely new bike, so the frame is also a completely new design. The thick down tube immediately catches the eye. This is where the battery is neatly hidden. Another advantage of this thick tube is the high degree of rigidity. This allows this electric bicycle to ride very smoothly through corners. The geometry lets you sit upright on this bike. Together with the suspension fork, this makes this a very comfortable e-bike. In addition to the battery, the motor and cabling are also beautifully integrated into the bike. In the case of the cables, this has another added benefit, as they wear out less as they are safely integrated.
Powerful support
For the motor on this bike, Batavus has chosen a powerful Bosch Performance Line middle motor with 65 Nm of torque. Big hills are no longer a problem. Moreover, you have a choice of 2 batteries. The smaller variant will support you up to about 80 km before you have to recharge. With the larger 500 Wh variant this is even about 100 km under normal conditions of use. These components make sure you can use the Batavus Velder E-go Power Plus with ease for a spirited recreational ride.
Sturdy and reliable shifting and braking components
The mid-motor on this electric city bike delivers a lot of power. So much so that a traditional gear hub can wear out faster. That's why the new Shimano Nexus 5th hub is the right choice for this e-bike. It is extra robust to cope with the forces present. With 5 gears and 263% gearing range, you won't miss out. Braking is done with the hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes are known for their high braking power and for the fact that this power is easy to dose.
