Description

Description

The Sram Level TL is the base model from the American manufacturer, and is most suitable for cross country courses. These brakes promise durability and reliability when it comes to stopping power. The distance between the brake lever and bars can be adjusted, meaning they'll suit any rider. The redesigned brake caliper features a new seal, and facilitates easy bleeding of the system. These brakes are a nice upgrade, or replacement, for the standard brakes which often come with new mountain bikes.

The same technology as the TLM range, but lower in price!
SRAM Level TL brakes offer great performance in a lightweight package. The Level TL range offers the same XC and trail-optimised braking power as the TLM or Ultimate range, but at a better price-performance ratio. The TL-series uses an aluminium DirectLink™ brake lever, which gives you a solid and good brake feel.

In addition, the SRAM Level TL has a Reach-adjust. This allows you to easily adjust the brake lever to the desired position!

Technology

Bleeding Edge Technology
In this updated design, the bleed port is moved to the bottom of the caliper, ensuring that the pistons are connected. This way the caliper fills up more naturally, making it easier to change the oil!

Directlink lever design
The DirectLink lever design gives a solid and firm feel. It grips well and gives you direct and precise control over your braking.

Reach Adjust
Adjusting your brakes is a very delicate matter and depends on your personal preference. Also, hand and finger sizes are different for each rider. For this reason, SRAM has designed Reach-Adjust. This makes it easy to adjust these brakes to your preference, so everyone can brake with one finger!

Compatibility

Adapters for calipers
If you switch to a different brand of disc brake or fit a different size of disc brake, you will need a different adaptor to make your caliper fit you frame.
These adapters can be found here.

Recommend it for its unbeatable value for money

- PASCAL 20 May 2021

A worthy successor to the mid-range Avid Elixir. The Level TL has gone from €110 to €60-70 in 3 years. Its precision and robustness are sufficient for moderate XC-Enduro-DH use. It may be lacking in power if it's heavily used in intensive DH (although I did mount it in rear on a Canyon Torque FRX 9 DH). Be careful when mounting it on a 203 disc, as it needs to be raised by washers compared to the old Level (the caliper rubs a bit).
