The Shimano WH-RS300 road bike wheels are part of Shimano’s 105 R7000 series. The wheels have a very neat finish for a set in this price segment. These aluminium Shimano WH-RS300 wheels are built with low 24 mm rims. The long RVS straightpull spokes offer plenty of comfort. Despite this, the wheels have high torsional rigidity, which helps with accelerating.
The wide rim offers stability, yet has an aerodynamic shape. Combined with the aero spokes, this ensures the wind will have less effect on the wheels. The famous Shimano cup-cone bearings have a low rolling resistance and are easy to maintain. The Shimano WH-RS300 wheels are ideal for daily use, as a training wheelset, or as spare wheels during winter.

Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.

Very satisfied with an excellent wheel that was delivered neatly

The wheel rides nicely, we use it on a very light holiday bike (12 kg) on which my wife (55 kg) cycles with a maximum of 10 kg of luggage. So total 77 kg, you don't need extra heavy-duty holiday bike wheels for that.
