The Shimano RS100 road bike wheels are a great beginner wheelset for daily use. Like more expensive Shimano wheels, this wheelset is equipped with the cup-conus system. You can maintain this system yourself, dramatically increasing the lifespan of the wheels. The Shimano RS100 road bike wheels look great for an affordable wheelset. Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or SRAM cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily over-tightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape properly sits in the rim
• Great for use as training wheels or extra rear wheel for your wheel-on bike trainer
