Description
A super modern aluminium frame with Shimano, Fox, and Scott’s own brand Syncros. That brings you far! Scott looks very cool, but don’t forget that they also value science and technology. This results in a comfortable and efficient frame that is made specifically for ladies. This specific geometry is based on the tilt of the pelvis. If the longer top tube (on men’s bikes) makes the pelvis tilt too much forward, this results in an uncomfortable position. Good thinking, Scott!
29-er wheels
Often a topic of debate among mountain bikers. The roadhogs swear by the 29-ers, the large wheels. The technical daredevils often choose the 26”.
There is also a new size: the 27,5”, also the 650b wheels. Why would you choose 29ers in this case? The large wheels are perfect for simple rolling over roots and rocks. The larger wheel- and tyre surface makes the obstacles relatively smaller. Look at it this way: an oil barrel is easier with a monster truck than in a car.
Note: All the bikes sold by Mantel come with the front brake on the left, and the rear brake on the right of the handlebar. If you’re accustomed to another set-up, then consider having this changed by an expert, or take your time to get used to the current set-up.
