If your employer has a partnership with Lease a Bike, you can purchase your new lease bike at Mantel. You should have already received a notification from your employer about this and often completed a registration process. Is that not the case? Please check with your employer first before placing an order.

How does the process work?

• You order your new bike, online or in-store.
• The recommended retail price of the bike and accessories must fit within your maximum lease budget. If your budget is too low, choose another bike or ask your employer to increase the budget. An ART** lock is mandatory for your insurance.
• At the payment method, choose ‘Lease a Bike’.
• Note: currently we only offer the Standard Maintenance Package. This covers all costs up to 150 euros per year.
• You enter the personal Order Code (Bestelcode) that you received by email from Lease a Bike.
• After placing the order, Lease a Bike and your employer must give approval. Only after their approval can we deliver the bike.
• After approval, you will receive an email from us in which you can choose a delivery time.
• On the chosen day, you can pick up your new bike or it will be delivered to your home.
• After delivery, you will receive a PIN code from Lease a Bike by email. You must email this code back to us.
• With the PIN code, we sign the delivery receipt and your lease contract starts. Until then, your bike is not insured.

24/7 roadside assistance is included within every service and insurance package from Lease a Bike. If you break down on the road, you can call the number below and you will be helped further. Clearly state that you have a lease bike from Lease a Bike. The roadside assistance team provides repatriation throughout the Netherlands. In most cases, your bike will be repaired on the spot. Is that not possible? Then you will be taken to the nearest bicycle shop.

To keep your bike in top condition, it is important that you perform regular maintenance on your bike.

During these maintenance services, your bike is checked and maintenance is performed.

During your lease contract, you are required to have various maintenance services performed. Every 12 months you receive a budget for this. With the standard package, this is a budget of 150 euros. If the price exceeds 150 euros, you must pay the difference yourself.

You will receive a message from Lease a Bike when maintenance for your bike is needed and you can have this performed at your dealer. You must have maintenance performed every 12 months.

Very annoying, of course.

On the Lease a Bike website you will find the step-by-step plan that you must go through. The deductible (eigen risico) per damage incident is €25. You pay the deductible directly to the bicycle shop.

All bikes are all-risk insured. The deductible for a city bike and e-bike is €0. The deductible for an (e-)cargo bike, speed pedelec, (e-)road bike, and (e-)mountain bike is 10% of the insured amount when the bike is not equipped with a GPS tracker with recovery service. If the bike is equipped with a GPS tracker with recovery service, no deductible applies.

If your bike is stolen, you will receive a new, similar bike of at most the same price within the existing lease contract.

Once you have received an order code, you can order one bike at Mantel (or online).

You can never order multiple bikes with just one order code. With one order code you can place one order, and only one bike can be in one order.

For some employers, special agreements have been made regarding the products to be leased. For example, which brands are allowed and whether accessories may also be leased. You should have been alerted to this in advance by your employer. Should you accidentally have ordered something that is not allowed by your employer, we will contact you.

Yes, it is possible to lease accessories. It is only permitted to lease fixed-mounted accessories with your lease contract. Accessories that cannot be fixed to the bike must be paid for separately in a separate order. Note: there are also employers who do not allow the leasing of accessories.
