Customer Service
About us / Events / CSR
Where we started in 1938 as a small local bike shop in Arnhem, the Netherlands, we have now grown into a business with a peloton of over 500 staff members across the country. Every day we strive to provide a place where our customers like to shop, where our staff like to work, and where our suppliers like to come and deliver their products.
With our passion as our drivetrain, we not only sell all things bike-related but are also more than happy to share our knowledge to help you choose what is right for you. So, come to Mantel to meet all your cycling needs!
Our product range is put together with the same passion and know-how. Plus, we only sell what we physically have in stock to ensure that you get the product of your choice.
In addition to our international webshop, we have stores and workshops in the Netherlands. Come visit us there to seek advice, to test and try on the greatest products, or to bring your bike for maintenance and repairs.

On behalf of the entire Mantel peloton: Have a wheelie good day!
Mantel is a proud sponsor of the Metec-TKH Cycling Team, powered by Mantel, a team aimed primarily at training young talented cyclists all of whom share the same goal: to become professional racing cyclists. Metec helps its team members to achieve this goal, and quite impressively so! The team is in no way inferior to any professional team, which is partly due to the composition of its staff with established names such as Adri van Houwelingen. As a result, in the past several seasons they have been able to deliver quite a number of riders to professional teams.
We are delighted to hear that you see us as a potential sponsor. At present, we are active partners in various sponsorship initiatives, both within and outside the world of cycling. We have decided, therefore, not to take part in any new initiatives for the time being.
Partnerships
Correctional Institution Arnhem Zuid
Mantel collaborates with the Correctional Institution Arnhem Zuid, where prisoners work to make new bikes ready to ride, and repair used bikes. Those who are properly motivated are given the opportunity to obtain a Starter’s Certificate in the prison’s workshop under the guidance of certified supervisors. In the last stage of their detention prisoners can then do an internship outside the prison, in one of Mantel’s workshops. The aim is to give prisoners meaningful work during their detention and to increase their chances of finding a job afterwards. Many studies have shown that having a job is one of the key factors in preventing recidivism.
SIZA
Mantel and Siza (an organisation which provides care and support to people with physical, mental or multiple disabilities) have developed a special and reciprocal partnership. For clients with a work-limiting disability suitable work is created in two Siza activity centres where clients can carry out their work without any pressure. If necessary, we consult with clients and supervisors about adaptations in the workplace or activities, or about creating apprenticeships within the company. In addition, we offer servicing for the bicycles the clients often use in their leisure time.
As a result of this collaboration we were awarded the “Arnhems compliment” in 2017.
“Ome Joop’s Tour”
For many years we have been one of the regular partners of Uncle Joop's Tour. The aim of the Uncle Joop's Tour Foundation is to organise an annual bicycle tour for boys and girls aged 10 to 12 who have few or no holiday opportunities. In its policy concerning the invitation of young participants the Board of the foundation makes no distinction with regard to origin, religion, nationality or otherwise. And due attention is paid to anything directly or indirectly related to the above, i.e., discrimination or anything that may be conducive to it is absolutely unacceptable. This rule is strictly adhered to. Each year, fifty to sixty volunteers participate actively in the organisation of the cycle tour and enjoy riding through the country with this large group of youngsters.
For each edition of Uncle Joop’s Tour Mantel is responsible for the inspection of the bikes. As such we make sure that the children go on the road with a safe bike that meets the standards of “Veilig Verkeer Nederland” (a national organisation which promotes road safety especially for vulnerable groups). Any young participants who may not have a bike due to an unfavourable financial situation, are given a bike for the duration of the Tour. Mantel also provides spare materials and technical support to ensure mobility for all the children and volunteers throughout the Tour.
“Werkgeversservicepunt”
It is important to us that our employees feel good in our company. We wish to provide the same thing to people whose work-limiting disability makes it difficult to enter the labour market, and so we have begun to collaborate with the Employers' Service Point. Together, we consider both how we can hire people with a disability for existing jobs and how we can create new jobs. In doing so, we hope to develop sustainable jobs so that our employees with a work-limiting disability may also have long-term opportunities.
