Bike Lease by Hellorider
If your employer has a partnership with Hellorider, you can purchase your new lease bike at Mantel. You should have already received a message about this from your employer and often also had to go through a registration process. If this is not the case? Please check with your employer first before placing an order.
What is the process?
- You order your new bike, online or in the store.
- At the payment method, select ‘Hellorider’.
- You enter the personal Order Code that you received by email from Hellorider.
- After placing the order, Hellorider and your employer must give their approval. Only after their approval can we deliver the bike.
- After approval, you will receive an email from us in which you can choose a delivery moment.
- On the chosen day, you can pick up your new bike or it will be delivered to your home.
- After delivery, you will receive an approval code from Hellorider by email. You email this code back to us.
- With the approval code, we sign the delivery receipt and your lease contract begins.
The recommended retail price of the bike and accessories must fit within your maximum lease budget. If your budget is too low, choose a different bike or ask your employer to increase the budget.
Yes, it is possible to include accessories in your lease. However, only permanently mounted accessories are permitted to be included in your lease contract. Accessories that cannot be permanently attached to the bicycle must be paid for separately in a separate order. Please note that there are also employers who do not allow the leasing of accessories. Consider the following cases:
- Your bike's motor is broken, and you can't continue cycling because of it.
- Your bike's battery is broken, and you can't continue cycling because of it.
- Your bike's chain is broken, and you can't continue cycling because of it.
- You have a flat tire, and you can't continue cycling because of it.
- Your bike's gear system is broken, and you can't continue cycling because of it.
- You have been hit by a third party, and you can't continue cycling.
- Your bike's front fork is bent, and you can't continue cycling because of it.

Make sure you have your frame number at hand when contacting the breakdown assistance party.
It is very annoying that your lease bike or battery has been stolen.

To keep your bike in top condition, it is important that you perform regular maintenance on your bike.
During these maintenance services, your bike is checked, and maintenance is performed.
During your lease contract, you are required to have various maintenance services performed.
You will receive a message from Hellorider when maintenance is needed for your bike and you can have it performed at your dealer.
If you have not yet received a message from Hellorider to perform maintenance, you may still go to your dealer to have a maintenance service performed during the periods below:
- The first maintenance service should be performed within 2-4 months.
- The second maintenance service should be performed within 12-14 months.
- The third maintenance service should be performed within 24-26 months.
Very annoying, of course.

The insurance for e-bikes covers damage to the bike and theft of the bike and/or the battery.
In case of damage, you have an excess per claim which will be invoiced by the lease company to your employer.
The e-bike insurance does not cover damage to you as the insured or to your belongings.
If you have a speed pedelec, this bike is also WA (third-party liability) insured by Hellorider.
This means you are insured against damage you cause to another person or their property with your speed pedelec (if you are authorized to ride a speed pedelec).

As soon as you have received a PIN code (order code), you can order one bike from the dealer (or online).
You can never order multiple bikes with just one PIN code.
If your employer allows this, they will have to generate a second PIN code (invitation) for you.
With one PIN code, you can place one order, and one order can only contain one bike.
For some employers, special agreements have been made about the products to be leased. For example, which brands are allowed and whether accessories can also be leased. You should have been informed of this in advance by your employer.
This applies to the following employers:
- KLM
- Accessories cannot be leased additionally.
- Central Government
- Accessories cannot be leased additionally.
- Not all bicycle brands are permitted.
