What material do you want the frame to be made of?

An aluminium frame is stiff and lightweight and cheap to produce. A frame made of carbon is super lightweight and usually stiffer than aluminium. Also, carbon may increase comfort and/or the bike's aerodynamics. This is why all high-end and top-end bikes are made of carbon.

  • Carbon bikes are lighter due to the stronger, low-density material.
  • Stiffer and more responsive material for better handling.
  • The material allows for complex shapes without welding seams.
