The excellent performance in all weather conditions is obtained thanks to the combination of two innovative technologies: the SmartEVO compound, the latest evolution in Pirelli tyres, which provides a supple tyre with a lot of grip. And the TechBELT technology, a tubular casing made of a 120tpi carcass and a nylon breaker for good durability and puncture resistance.
The Pirelli P Zero Race 4S tyres also features a new design: special deep grooves for grip and water dispersal are combined with a wider tread pattern, which also contributes to improved grip in cold conditions, higher mileage and better puncture protection. All the special features of the new P ZERO Race 4S are expertly made in Italy and offer unique quality and great performance.
The 120 TPI carcass of this road bike tyre has been developed to provide a high level of puncture resistance in a wide range of conditions. A light but flexible layer with an added layer that's highly puncture resistant. All this without sacrificing durability, grip or rolling resistance.
SmartEVO compound
The SmartEVO compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each offering specific performance qualities. It's a search for the optimum balance between opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. And this has certainly been found with the SmartEVO compound! With Pirelli tyres you'll benefit from more than 100 years of experience in developing car and bicycle tyres to meet the specific needs of different situations. De P Zero Race 4S is juist 30mm breed zoals ik besteld heb. Rijdt comfortabel en heeft een goede grip. En zoals steeds bij Mantel snel geleverd.

Fast but weak side for a 4-season tyre
After less than 1,000km, a cut on the sidewall which means the tyre may go in the rubbish. Too bad. Hopefully this is a production error because in my 30 years of cycling I have never had such a weak tyre.

Fine tyre, but difficult to fit since 'new' version.
Been riding this tyre for years (in the wet/cold months). Remains fine tyres with a good balance between speed/grip/puncture resistance. If you don't ride two sets of wheels/don't feel like changing, it's a great tyre to ride all season. However, since the new type (made in Italy instead of made in France), they are barely fitable. Yes, with tyre pliers, but that's no use on the road.
