Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • With its all-round knob profile, this tyre offers plenty of security and perfect grip on any surface.
  • Technical descents over tree roots and rocks are no problem at all.
  • The Exo Protection protective layer provides excellent protection against cuts.
  • The knobs are spaced far apart so you maintain maximum grip during the ride thanks to the high level of clearance.
  • Tubeless Ready technology makes the tyres easy to make tubeless with 90ml of latex sealant per tyre.
  • Making a Tubeless Ready tyre tubeless takes some effort, but the result will not disappoint.
  • Tubeless sealant should generally be topped up every 3-6 months.

Description

Description

The Maxxis Forekaster Exo Tubeless Ready are high-quality MTB tyres that don’t fear wet conditions, but especially in dry conditions offer sufficient security and perfect grip on any surface. With the Maxxis Forekaster Exo Tubeless Ready tyres you can forget about the weather for a moment and ride every downhill full of confidence. The mid-height tread blocks are spaced evenly to keep maximum grip during your ride thanks to the high amount of clearance. So when the weather becomes more unpredictable, the Maxxis Forekaster Exo Tubeless Ready is the tyre of choice.

Technology

EXO Protection
An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of the tyre. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection tyres for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty.

Good all-rounder

- Martin 16 April 2023

Fine front tire, icm an Aspen or Rekon Race a nice all-round combo. Too bad that 2.4 is actually 2.3 here (59mm instead of 61). Niggling at the margins, but still.

Pros & Cons

All-round

Falls narrow
Overkill for NL routes

Very happy with it!

- Willem 12 January 2022

Put this tyre on the front and back of the bike (not tubeless yet) and I experienced a world of difference compared to the ikon. On the ikon I had a lot of sliding on the wetter trails and that seems to be 90% less now. Very happy with the choice of these tyres.

Pros & Cons

Good grip on soft ground!
Rolling resistance is not that bad
