Mantel Waaier (or Smooth Drive) is a smooth espresso blend with mild acidity and a subtly nutty flavour. The addition of Guatemala Huehuetenango gives it a rounded profile and a slightly fruity aftertaste. The 10% robusta from Indonesia creates a spicy accent with a nice full layer of crema.
Packaging and flavour profile
Mantel Smooth Drive (Waaier) comes in an airtight packaging with a flavour saving valve that helps retain aroma and flavour, and a Ziplock closure. The packaging is, therefore, easy to open and reseal, keeping the coffee fresh for longer and preserving its character. This coffee is suitable for various brewing methods with an espresso base. The blend comes into its own as an espresso and a lungo, retaining its mild character and mild acidity. In coffees with milk, such as cappuccino, the flavours also remain well balanced thanks to the Waaier's rounded profile and the light spiciness that is typical of robusta.
