Reviews over the
Shimano Deore M592 Shadow

Unbeatable value for money.
Bought to replace my old Acera model (entry-level Shimano... cheap but nothing exceptional). You can feel the quality in the precision of the gear shifting (if you do the indexing and a top connection). The spring is very strong, which keeps the chain stable and prevents it from banging against the frame in rough terrain. Relatively inexpensive, it's a good upgrade.

Great at a reasonable price
Recently bought this rear derailleur to update an almost 16-year-old time trial bike. Been a fan of a 1X set up for a while and eventually the time trial bike had to go with it. The bike comes standard with Shimano 10-speed Ultegra derailleurs with Dura Ace TT shifters and that rear derailleur has too little spring tension for a 1x10 set up. That has been solved with this derailleur. The spring tension, despite the lack of a 'clutch', is great enough to keep the chain together with a narrow wide front sprocket where it needs to be. Only drawback is that there is no adjusting screw for the derailleur cable on the derailleur itself, making adjustment a little less easy. Of course, it's not the lightest derailleur available but for my use (mainly on the flat with the occasional Twente 'mountain') that doesn't matter. Moreover, the little bit of extra weight is compensated by the removal of a front derailleur with cable and the disappearance of one of the front blades. Once mounted, everything works fine and a simplified set-up allows for a nice ride.

For someone who doesn't want to spend too much, an excellent purchase
I have had it for a while now and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It shifts well and it looks neat too

It's good value for money
I definitely recommend the shimano deore m592 shadow. It shifts very smoothly and the chain now clatters much less due to the stronger spring.

Good and smooth shifting
Derailleur shifts well and smoothly. The spring tension is nice and high, which keeps the chain nice and tight and makes it clatter a lot less on the MTB route. Much less noise. Note that there is no adjusting screw for fine adjustment. As long as your shifters do have an adjustment screw, this is not a problem, but this is not the case with all shifters.
