According to the product specialist

Pros
Fits 8-Bolt SRAM Direct Mount cranksets.
Oval chainrings have their smallest diametre on the 'dead point' of your pedal stroke.
An oval chainring's diametre is equivalent to that of one that has 2 more teeth at the point where you can put most toque on your pedals for the best power transfer.
While an oval chainring hardly affects ride feel, it certainly has big advantages in terms of power transfer. Especially during climbing.
The pedal stroke of these oval chainrings is imperceptible in terms of ride feel. While retaining the benefits that oval chainrings have to offer.
Fits SRAM Direct Mount cranksets in which the chainring is secured with 8 bolts.
This chainring gives you the option of using newer 12 speed crankset models on your 9/10/11 speed mountain bike.
The Wide Narrow bar profile prevents your chain coming off the front chainring.
As the chainring is high precision CNC milled, it looks very good indeed.
Cons
Not compatible with SRAM 12 speed Flattop chains.
The first rides take a little getting used to before you no longer notice the ride feel of an oval chainring.
