This wheelset has a very attractive price/quality ratio. Aerodynamics tests show that in a crosswind the Mantel R50 TLR road bike wheels even score better than the popular Zipp 303 wheels. In a frontal wind their score is but a fraction lower.
The hubs are well sealed and have durable industrial bearings. Of course, Mantel R50 TLR road bike wheels are tubeless ready, so switching to tubeless is an easy decision. The straight-pull spokes can handle a great deal of force without breaking. The wide rims are now even more aerodynamic thanks to the use of internal nipples. The brake edges provide excellent braking performance in any circumstances and can withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees, quite impressive indeed. If you are looking for a stiff, light 50mm high carbon wheelset, the Mantel R50 TLR wheels are a very good choice!
You can hardly see it! The tubeless tape has been fitted very nicely and tightly and is the same colour as the rims. The wheels also come with tubeless valves which fit the rim perfectly. If you want to ride tubeless, you will require tubeless tyres and latex liquid, and no inner tubes. This brings many benefits in terms of performance, as it reduces your rolling resistance significantly, increases traction, and optimises ride comfort. The main advantage is that you will not have to stop in case of a puncture, as the latex fills the puncture within seconds thanks to small grains that accumulate under the hole.
Braking surface
The braking surface of these Mantel R50 TLR carbon wheels can withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees. This has been extensively tested in various conditions and environments. For example, the wheels were tested in multi-day races abroad as well as in Dutch criteriums. Various test riders found that they continue to perform well even in wet conditions and during descents.

Top, I would buy again.
In search of carbon clincher rims I stumbled rather by chance on the Internet on the coat R50 TLR LRS. Initially, I was skeptical, because other providers partly demand significantly more money. But after the first 60 kilometers with the wheelset I am fully satisfied. He came clean centered and processed, he runs quietly, brakes reasonably in the dry (to wet I can not say anything yet) and has a great sound. The stiffness also fits with my 100 kilos live weight. I would definitely buy the LRS again.
