Description

Description

The Koga F3 2.0 is a very durable bike that will get you around town without any problems.

Getting around town without a hitch
Koga has developed a city bike that functions superbly in busy city life. A refined geometry, low-maintenance drivetrain and powerful disc brakes make every bike ride a pleasure.

Technology

Comfortable frame
The Koga F3 2.0 comes with a lightweight aluminum frame. This lightweight frame ensures direct steering, so you can move safely through traffic, even in busy urban areas. The cables are integrated into the frame, so they are well protected from precipitation and other dirt. The seating position on this bike is upright, so that you can sit comfortably in the saddle even after a long day. Furthermore, you have access to a Feathershock suspension fork. This fork absorbs bumps in the road surface, giving your forearms that extra bit of comfort.

Shifting and braking
As for shifting, the bike is equipped with a Shimano Nexus 8 speed hub. These eight gears provide a 307% gear range, making it easy to pass hill or annoying gusts of wind. This internal gear hub is found on many city bikes and shifts very smoothly. Moreover, this bike does not come with a traditional chain but rather with a belt drive. This belt drive is quiet, low-maintenance and more efficient. The hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano bring the bike to a standstill quickly, delivering powerful braking performance, even in wet weather conditions. In addition, these brakes have excellent control so that you can take every corner with plenty of condifence.

Quality bike that invites cycling.

- Tim 13 December 2023

A very nice bike for daily rides to work (2x30 minutes) and around my home town. The low weight, belt (instead of chain) and high-quality finish make for a light and noiseless ride. On bumpy roads with cobblestones, for instance, nothing rattles. The front fork suspension is fine, I would have preferred slightly thicker tyres on it (e.g. Schwalbe road cruisers) for a bit more cushioning and stability in bends, but of course you can still do that. I (gentleman, 190 cm) wanted a women's frame because of the dismount with a child on the back and this was one of the few brands with a large enough frame size. The finish is done with attention, but this makes it a minor eyesore that the cables on the handlebars hang just in front of the headlight. The integrated lighting in the head tube flashes at lower speeds. Otherwise no problem, the lighting is fine and nice, it's details that stand out on this bike. The high price made me hesitate, but it was well worth it. This bike invites you to cycle!

Pros & Cons

Adjustable handlebars (upright to sporty)
Attention to detail
Cycles light and quiet
Feels solid and refined at the same time
Women's frame in large size (59 cm)
Front lighting
Narrow luggage carrier
Tyres a little too narrow (personal)

Great bike

- Rob 10 February 2023

Very nice bike; in many conditions it behaves as you expect. Very nice around town and for taking a ride. Note the sizing; Koga's body height does not match Mantel's. I have a 57cm frame (according to invoice), but it is an XL frame. Fortunately, I was well advised in the store.

Pros & Cons

Agile
Beautifully finished
Light in weight
Nexus and no Alfine
