The Gazelle Ami C7 HMS is an electric bike with a special feature. The 26-inch wheels and smaller frame size make this the bike for shorter people.

Therefore, on this bike you can safely and securely cover your rides, with the convenience of smooth support.
The Gazelle Ami C7 HMS is everything you would expect from a high-quality e-bike, but in a slightly smaller package.

Frame, fork and wheels
The frame of the Gazelle Ami C7 HMS is made of aluminum. These e-bikes have a low step-in, making getting on and off easy. In addition, the front fork makes room for 26-inch wheels, instead of the standard 28-inch on adult bikes. This makes these e bikes ideal for people who want a smaller bike. The wheels are equipped with 47 mm wide anti-puncture tyres, which already cushion most bumps. For even more comfort, there is a suspension fork and seat post. With this electric bike you can therefore make many pleasant kilometers.
E-bike technology
A 40 Nm Shimano Steps mid-motor provides this e-bike with enough power to conquer the city and countryside. For hilly areas, this bike falls a little short. You also have the choice of a 418Wh or 504Wh battery. The realistic range of the smaller battery is about 75 kilometers, while the 504Wh variant lasts a little over 90 kilometers under normal conditions. The 2A battery charger will fully charge your battery in about 6.5 or 7.5 hours respectively, depending on which battery you choose. The display of this e-bike is placed in the middle, with a hand control on the side. This allows you to switch between the 3 support modes without taking your hands off the handlebars.
Shifters and brakers
To shift gears, Gazelle has chosen the widely known Nexus 7 gear hub. With a gear range of 244% between the 7 speeds, you will get away very well on flat roads. In addition, you can rely on the Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes. These offer plenty of braking power and compared to other rim brakes, they respond very decently in damp conditions.
Further parts
The Gazelle Ami C7 HMS comes with a very solid range of parts. An AXA Defender ring lock, which you can connect an insert lock to if desired, provides extra security. The LED lighting set also provides extra safety, in the form of visibility. These have a good light output and work via the e-bike battery, so no dynamo is needed. Of course, a bell has not been forgotten either, making sure you are always audible. All in all, this is a safe electric bike.

Battery maintanance
Charge your battery, if possible, at room temperature. In freezing temperatures, we recommend taking the battery indoors. Do not store the battery when empty. If you plan not to use your e-bike for an extended period of time, we recommend storing the battery around 60% charged at around room temperature. Recharge the battery occasionally (once a month) to ensure the service life of the battery.
Maintenance of gear parts and brakes
The hub gear is low maintenance, as the delicate parts are internal. In case of problems with these parts, we recommend going to the bike shop. Because of the dense chaincase, the chain is less likely to get dirty. However, occasional cleaning and lubrication is recommended. The hydraulic rim brakes have brake pads that should be replaced in time. These brake shoes are easy to replace by opening the quick release caliper, pulling off the brake shoe and clicking the new one on. When replacing the caliper, make sure that the brake shoes are properly aligned with the brake rim on the rim. The hydraulic lines of the brakes require special tools to get them at the correct pressure. If you are not familiar with these parts, we recommend having this done by a bike shop.
Tyre pressure
Having the right tyre pressure is important. Having the wrong tyre pressure can lead to flat tyres, increased wear, rim damage with low pressure and uncomfortable riding. For most e-bikes, tyre pressure is about 3.5 to 6 bar. On the side of your tyre you can always read what the pressure of your bike tyres should be.
