Fulcrum Red Zone 5 MTB Wheels

The Fulcrum Red Zone 5 MTB wheels are popular mountain bike wheels, partly thanks to their looks and their price range. The 2-Way Fit system enables you to ride tubeless, using tubeless tyres and latex. If you have a puncture, it's automatically filled with latex. You don't even have to get off the bike as the wheel rotation helps filling the puncture. The wheels are equipped with Straight Pull spokes, decreasing the probability of a broken spoke. AFS AXLE SYSTEM
This is the system Fulcrum has developed for installation of the brake discs on the hubs. The fitting is optimized for ideal performance of Centerlock discs in terms of modulation and directness.

2-WAY FIT
Tubeless technology was first used by the auto industry, then by motorcycles, and ha now reached the cycling industry.

We have developed our 2-Way Fit technology to ensure the perfect compatibility of our tubeless rims with normal clincher types. 2-Way Fit road bike wheels are perfectly multipurpose for tackling every situation. Thanks to a special impression in the valve area, the tubes are fitted with the maximum precision while keeping the tube perfectly stable inside the tyre. Housing the valve for tubeless tyres is also risk-free, with the unquestionable advantage that there are never any air infiltrations caused by non-ideal positioning when fitting.

The advantages are indisputable: our tests have highlighted an unique increase in smoothness. Because there is no tube, the friction caused by rubbing against the tyre is eliminated, while the perfect adherence of the tyre to the rim prevents the dispersion of energy. Tubeless tyres do not suffer from sudden deflation when punctured which is a great advantage in safety terms. There is also no risk of snake bites as there is no tube to get injured. What if a tubeless tyre gets punctured? There’s nothing to be afraid of... With the Fulcrum 2-Way Fit you can remove the tubeless valve and fit in a standard clincher tire that will let you ride back home.

Bodytype bij 12-speed
Sommige 12-speed cassettes moeten op de 10/11-speed Shimano/SRAM body gemonteerd worden. Dit zijn de SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 cassettes en vrijwel alle andere 12-speed MTB cassettes met als kleinste tandje een 11. MTB cassettes met als kleinste tandje een 10 hebben een speciale body nodig. Dit is voor Shimano een Micro-Spline body en voor SRAM een XD-body.
