Description
The Assos Mille GT C2 features Type.429 fabric, which has a number of positive properties. It is flexible enough for a streamlined fit, while maintaining great comfort. In addition, it is very breathable. Therefore you can wear this bibshort in the heat of summer. Lastly, Type.429 fabric offers light compression and is strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of many kilometres of cycling. These shorts have Assos' regularFit fit, and have been attuned to comfort above all else.
The Assos Mille GT C2 features the X-frame brace construction This construction guarantees a secure fit that keeps the padding and main panel of these short cycling shorts in place. The ends of the trouser legs have 6 cm wide elastic grippers, with no added silicons. The chamois of these cycling shorts has also been improved and offers great comfort during long rides.
If you like to ride long training distances and endurance rides on your road bike, the Assos Mille GT C2 is the perfect short for you.
Technology
Mille GT C2 chamoisThe Assos Mille GT C2 is equipped with the Mille GT C2 chamois, which offers good comfort during long rides. The 11mm thick padding is largely responsible for this and provides great cushioning. The Mille GT C2 pad is also equipped with Assos goldenGate. This particular stitching pattern anchors the front and back, but allows the insert to float. This allows the chamois to move with your body while cycling. Furthermore, ventilation of this chamois pad has been improved as well.

Pleasant trousers, but I think I need to break them in for a few more rides
Lovely fitting trousers, but so slippery that while cycling you feel like you are sliding back and forth on the saddle. Also some chafing in the groin after a 90km ride, but that was the first somewhat longer ride of the year.

The best I've ever had at a reasonable price.
Many different brands of cycling trousers, this is my second Assos, never another brand.

Very good shorts , with great fit and good support
I bought these as an introduction to assos bib shorts as they receive great reviews , they are very supportive and comfortable, I'm still unsure about the movement in the pad , as it's only sewn at both ends but I have only worn them on 2 rides of about 90 minutes so might just need to get used to them

Maybe nice for others, but they are uncomfortable for me
I have worn these a couple times now, and they just don't work for me. - Compared to some other brands, the pads on these are very thick and soft. I think of them sort of like a feather pillow: some people will love the squishiness and compressability , but after a little while you just sink straight through and end up with no support at all. Very uncomfortable for a 30+ minute ride, which isn't very long. I prefer a firmer, more supportive foam. - Another issue with the design of the pads is that the foam is very thick on the sit bones, but there is nothing but fabric in the middle. This means they end up folding straight up the middle (ie straight up your butt crack), giving you a huge wedgie. Very uncomfortable to walk around in and I kept having to pull them outwards while riding. - The more relaxed fit of these bibs means they grippers on the legs weren't as effective and they end up riding up. Not nice on a colder day as it leaves half your thighs exposed. The material is nice and they offer a more relaxed fit than other bibs, so I can see why others might like them on longer casual rides. But for me, they just don't work.
