The Trek FX 3 Disc Equipped is a fitness bike. In many ways, this bike resembles a light road bike, but with straight bars and practical accessories. In addition to smooth handling, this bike makes it easy to achieve high speeds. Thanks to the straight bar and relaxed geometry, your sitting position is more comfortable than on a road bike. High-quality Shimano parts
Because it is a hybrid bike, the Trek FX 3 Disc Equipped features derailleur gears. The 10-speed Shimano Deore components ensure reliable shifting. It's not surprising that these same parts are also used on mid-range MTBs. Its 11-46 cassette gives you a wide gear range, which makes it easy to get up a steep hill. To come to a safe halt, Trek also opted for Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, which have good braking power and good modulation. Fine bike for commuting over 20 km one way
The bike has a tight and stable frame and rides very lightly. I use it for commuting (20 km one way) and 11 gears are enough for that. The lighting gives sufficient light when I cycle through the polder in the dark. I could easily hang my Ortlieb panniers over the baggage carrier. The bike comes without a lock. I find that strange, as it is an equipped bike. Anyway, I bought a ring lock and a sturdy chain lock. Fortunately, you don't sit upright on this bike, but forward. The stand is super stable.
