The heart of this fitness bike is the lightweight frame. It provides a sporty but comfotable sitting position. This makes the Trek FX 2 Disc a pleasant alternative to a road bike. The 35mm wide tyres also manage to find a good compromise between comfort and rolling resistance. These are wrapped around lightweight Bontrager Connection rims, which are also used on MTBs.

On the Trek FX 2 Disc you have no less than 18 gears. These gears are slightly lighter than what you usually get on a road bike, which makes this fitness bike accessible for more cyclists. The cassette on this bike gives a very wide range, so you can easily get up a hill, but also cycle at a good pace on the flats. The shifters and derailleurs are Shimano Altus and Acera quality. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes are also fitted, which gives this fitness bike high braking power and good dosability.
