Once your Stages power meter is paired to your cycling computer using ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart, a one-time calibration is all you need before you’re good to go. The Stages isn’t influenced by weather conditions and provides accurate data with a deviation of ±2%. Power is measured by a sensor on the left crank arm which can detect even the slightest deflection. Research has shown that even as your power output increases, the power of your left leg is virtually identical to that of your right. An internal accelerometer measures cadence without requiring an external magnet.
