The upper of the XC703 W cycling shoe consists of synthetic leather and mesh for good airflow and a very nice and supportive wrap around your foot. The material's ventilation helps keep your foot at a good temperature, and the women-specific design makes for a very natural and comfortable fit on a narrower foot. The shoe is also easy to put on, and the fit is easy to adjust with the two BOA dial closures on the instep. If you turn the shoe upside down, you will see its stiff carbon midsole and high-profile rubber outsole for excellent grip on forest soil. As the materials are not waterproof, the shoes are most suitable for dry rides in mild to warm outdoor temperatures.
