Puncture resistant
The Marathon E-Plus receives the highest rating from Schwalbe for puncture resistance. The E-Plus uses the Smart-DualGuard protective layer. This consists of three individual protective layers including the patented 5 mm thick and elastic SmartGuard and twice the thinner RaceGuard nylon layer.
Grip, grip and more grip
Because the Marathon E-Plus uses the Addix-E rubber compound that has been specially developed for e-bikes, you are guaranteed excellent grip and high durability. The E-Plus also handles very well and feels stable in the bends. In addition, the side wall is extra reinforced, so that the tyre wears less quickly here.
Tested and proven
An ECE-R75 certification proves that the Marathon E-Plus is suitable for speeds of up to 50 km/h. This makes the E-Plus suitable for all types of e-bikes!

Robust and durable for carefree travel
This type of tyre is excellent for the type of use for which they were designed: hiking and travelling with trekking bikes, even with pedal assistance, on mainly asphalted surfaces or white roads without having problems with punctures. Their robustness also makes them suitable for high loads. The grip and smoothness are good on asphalt and white roads; I have not yet tried them on wet surfaces. You have to get used to them a bit, however, because they are quite stiff (even when inflated to the minimum recommended pressure) and therefore do not adequately absorb unevenness on the ground. I would therefore not recommend them for rough gravel trails. In addition, the weight makes itself felt when tackling climbs.
