Puncture resistant
The Marathon E-Plus receives the highest rating from Schwalbe for puncture resistance. The E-Plus uses the Smart-DualGuard protective layer. This consists of three individual protective layers including the patented 5 mm thick and elastic SmartGuard and twice the thinner RaceGuard nylon layer.
Grip, grip and more grip
Because the Marathon E-Plus uses the Addix-E rubber compound that has been specially developed for e-bikes, you are guaranteed excellent grip and high durability. The E-Plus also handles very well and feels stable in the bends. In addition, the side wall is extra reinforced, so that the tyre wears less quickly here.
Tested and proven
An ECE-R75 certification proves that the Marathon E-Plus is suitable for speeds of up to 50 km/h. This makes the E-Plus suitable for all types of e-bikes!

A very good puncture-proof tyre
I’ve had good experiences with this tyre in the past, which is why I chose it. Previous fittings (7 times with this brand and type of tyre) went without a hitch. This latest one didn’t seem to have been fitted properly (a bump whilst cycling, which wouldn’t go away). Had to get the tyre refitted by a bike mechanic. No idea what suddenly went wrong here. All sorted now!

I fitted these tyres to my non-electric bike because they’re nice and sturdy and I often ride with a lot of luggage. They’re great, though they are a bit stiff to fit.
