poor quality
Tyre was flat after only 29 km. According to Mantel due to external impact. I am absolutely not convinced of this myself Tyre thus cost more1.34 euros per km

Fast link
As a front tyre, for North Holland dunes. Go well through loose sand at low pressure, follow deployed track. On loose ground they slide, but bike is easy to correct.

Very nice tyre
The tyre was easy to install and I'm glad I went for the combination with barzo. This combination is exactly the profile I needed to not have too much drag but still be able to take tight corners.

Top product
Makkelijk te installeren en heel erg fijn dat er een goed profiel aan de buitenzijde zit zodat je met het strakke bochtenwerk goed je grip houdt.

Competition for the establishment!
After many types of Schwalbe tires and recently Maxxis Ikon now purchased this Vittoria Mezcal. Did not regret it for a second. Now 3 weeks and almost 300 km. Very nice tire. Great traction on dry and semi-dry Limburge mountain bike trails. Remarkably quiet on the road. Little rolling resistance. Can't say anything about wear yet. No punctures yet.

Fast and light XC tires that look good
Light and low rolling resistance: nice and fast on the way to the trails and on the trails themselves they don't come up short (in dry conditions). Less good for thick blubber.

Really a top tire, super grip in the singletracks now that it is a bit softer surface.
I was looking for a "winter tire" because on the leaves and some muddy cornering conditions, the ThunderBurt just fell a little short. On the advice of a colleague I looked at the mezcal. Even on asphalt I notice it runs nicely, almost no hum. So far I am really very positively surprised

a very versatile tire
is a tire that works very well in the dry, ideal for the rear wheel in combination with the barzo. For trails it behaves very well. Its mounting is good and it heels very well.

::: Very good price-performance ratio :::
After trying out many different products from all brands over the years and tyre dimensions, I only use Vittoria Mezcals on my MTBs. Super performance at a lower price than other brands.

Fast and beautiful tyre with plenty of grip
I ordered this tyre as a 2.25x29 as a rear tyre. Combined with a Barzo 2.25x29 as a front tyre. First, it is a nice looking tyre. Secondly, this tyre gives a confident feel with good grip. I ride it at 2.0bar pressure which makes it fast and still comfortable. I also think I would have liked it better if I had also taken this as a front tyre instead of the Barzo, that's how good I like this tyre. I fitted it tubeless and that was extremely easy. No tyre levers needed. Just managed to set the tyre with a floor pump and without latex as almost airtight. Yes, I recommend this tyre.

Fast, but you sacrifice grip and firmness
Lovely tyre on dry trails. Enjoyed it last summer. Less so in winter: worthless in mud and on steep climbs with loose ground. Prefer the Barzo also behind and then just pedal a bit more. Today the sidewall ripped open on a rock; very thin compared to my Maxxis Ikon tyres. Consequently also less pleasant with low tyre pressure.

As good as they say!
Perfect for mixed use where you're going to be riding a lot of miles on roads where having a lot of knobby tyres can weigh you down. They are in the perfect spot, I doubted if 2.35 was going to be too much rubber, even if I should follow the idea of combining Barzo front and Mezcal rear, but I decided to try both Mezcal 2.35 front and rear and it's going great. It's really noticeable. They grip well, you have confidence in corners, and the ride is fast in areas where you need speed. I came from Barzo 2.25 front and Ikon 2.10 rear and so far I would repeat the new Mezcal 3.35 front and rear configuration.

Light tyre with low rolling resistance
To replace my Specialized Renegade tyres, I was again looking for a tyre that rolls well over asphalt to ride towards the trails but also provides enough grip on the trails. This tyre has low rolling resistance and provides more grip than the Renegade. Mounting this tyre is a point of interest though. Very stiff thread making it difficult to mount it on the wheel. Nevertheless, I succeeded and with the second wheel it went a lot better. I mounted the tyres tubeless and that went perfectly. Nicely airtight on my new Mavic Crossmax rims.

Super tyre for rocky ground
Ridden Roc du Maroc and not once had a puncture!

Top band that does exactly what it was made for.
Tubeless fitting is easy. Tyre is instantly inflated, even the day after. Amaze me about the grip and rolling resistance ( always rode Conti X King); top! The anthracite look suits the bike perfectly (for the enthusiast.

High grip for low rolling resistance
The grip, both in corners with loose gravel and on wet tree roots is fantastic. It rivals the grip of my "winter" tyres, but the rolling resistance is much lower. In real mud they fall short, but that's not what they are made for either. Fantastic all-round tyre that yes can use from early spring to autumn.

Great combination of barzo and mezcal
A return to my mountain bike roots. I used geax barro far. Taken over by Vittoria, the combination of barzo at the front and mezcal at the back works wonders on my mountain bike.

I have tried many tubeless tyres. With this one, fitting was very easy.

Right choice for optimum grip, speed and quality.
I've driven a lot of tyres by now. These are my favourites. Fitted both front and rear. Have Agarro/Barzo in house as back-up for trickier/rougher conditions.

Cool (rear) tyre with super grip on dry/dusty surfaces
Bought this tyre in a package i.c.w. Barzo front wheel. Has super grip on dry surfaces , in mud this tyre seems to perform less but I haven't experienced that yet. Your mountain bike suddenly looks very different with this Vittoria

The -to go- band for me
As a competitive rider, I have now ridden the Mezcal front and rear, in the Dutch summer it is fine in the front with a smooth rear tyre. Then it gives a very stable feel in corners and low rolling resistance for a front tyre. In the alps, it can go rear and then has insane traction on rocks and roots. And in the winter in the Netherlands it can also go on the rear, then in extremely muddy conditions you have a tyre that lacks grip, but I'd rather not do that to my bike anyway. Regularly, it gives enough rear grip and a nice low rolling resistance. Icm metr the Barzo front you then have an insanely reliable set in terms of traction and grip. The Mezcal gives you a very good feel as far as limit grip is concerned. Breaking out is no surprise.

Great fast mtb tyre
Fine tyre that rolls nicely and quickly. With a lot of leaf a little less grip. But on current trails that are well maintained, it is a lovely tyre.

Fast rear tyre for single tracks
Tyre delivered neatly in a package. Fitted it tubeless with no problems. Tyre looks cool with the beige sidewall. You notice the difference immediately when you hear the tyre rolling on the road. Little rolling resistance and grip in corners. Highly recommended.

Good lateral grib , a top all-round tyre
A familiar tread used at Geax in the past . The rubber compount is very good, so the roll resistance on asphalt is also very low.
