Trek Marlin 5 Gen 2

I use this bike for commuting, it is a solid and definitely affordable bike. Rides and brakes like it should. I am very satisfied with this, had a Trek before and was super satisfied with this too. Very handy are also the reflectors, pedals and bell that come free with it, which certainly makes cycling safer. I have already found my favorite bike.

Purchased for my wife to cycle with the kids. We didn’t want to spend a fortune but wanted a good brand bike with reasonable equipment for weekend rides. This was perfect for the budget.

I've had this Trek before. The previous model. (Black bike with anthracite decals) A great bike for my use (mainly on public roads) The previous model did have finer (ergonomic) grips, and I replaced them with that same type right away. The 2022 therefore has a nice upgrade with the thicker front fork and only 2 front chainrings left. The anthracite with the brushed silver decals also looks very good on it. And the hydraulic brakes (just like on the previous model) perform perfectly on this bike. All in all, great value for money, highly recommended.

Our son also had a Trek hybrid bike before this, unfortunately was stolen. Tried for a long time with bike plan to buy a bike at local bike dealer waited for 3 months at one and then cancelled. At the other ordered in January and still no bike in April. Finally my husband and I bought the bike for him. He was curious to see if it would work out and within 3 days it was delivered. Top service, great bike!

Ridden several MTB routes in the Netherlands and this bike kept up with them as long as it didn't require too much/fast shifting. Bike feels good and, given its weight, is still very maneuverable on technical sections. In Luxembourg the bike fell short on MTB trails because shifting gears is more important here. Also for the real trails with jumps this bike comes up short. But for this price it is a very nice and solid beginner MTB.

It is a lightweight bike, so very pleasant cycling on mountain bike trails but also on the regular road. The handlebars are a little wider, so they handle better than the usual handlebars.

The ATV arrived on time, on schedule, already pre-set in the box, just need to fit the pedals. Mantel service to recommend! I'm very pleased with the delivery and the fact that I'll be able to enjoy it in fine weather. My girlfriend will be ordering her Marlin soon too.
