After almost 100km I can pass judgment on this outer tire. Very sturdy but also slightly heavier than normal outer tire. Good rolling properties on normal and slippery roads. On the latter also very good grip. The tread is quite supple which greatly benefits the puncture resistance but has the disadvantage that the tire finds its way a bit in the longitudinal grooves on worse roads and cobblestone joints. This gives a strange feeling, as if you are in danger of sliding away when you are not. Therefore 4 instead of 5 stars. Highly recommended. A bit more difficult to fit around your rim though.

I have mounted Schwalbe Marathon Plus on all my bikes, I have never had a flat tire, I cycle 24 kilometers a day on weekdays through all kinds of weather, I am very satisfied with this tire.

Once a year I have my electric bike double twist fixed and is good again as expected. Mechanics come across as honest,and do what they can. Because the bike is actually 4 years old again, it is not possible to buy a new pannier with it..aar that is not so bad then.

First, this review is based mostly on bicycle tour and everyday riding. That is what I use my bicycle for. I do not have a car and I don't really like to use public transportation. I only get around by bike. This is the third time I've these tires. I love them. They are built very well, almost puncture proof and the tread is made so water will go off to the side. My last pair were 28 x 1.5, but these are 28 x 1.4. Personally, I like the 1.5 better. It's nice to have a wider tire - more comfortable, more control, and less of a chance of a puncture. But I will add that I am not upset with the purchase. Due to how sturdy these are, and the tread pattern, and the puncture protection, I do recommend them

Very good tire. Took long desert trip with it. Watch out with cacti. The spines can slowly work their way into the tire.

Purchased this tire again. The previous one was on me for 16000 km before it needed replacing. My wife has had it even longer and it is still fine. Difference, probably riding style. All 4 tires have never had a flat.

Tire is of good quality and lasts a long time. Experiences are positive. Schwalbe gives great variation in sizing. Look carefully which tire you need before sending order.

Bought these tires for my cross-hybrid, as replacements for CST Allround which I have punctured 2x in 3,000 km this season. I think too often. I use the cross-hybrid in addition to my road bike. 1. Purchase process: tight, as always at Mantel. Ordered Friday night, delivered Saturday around noon. And with a BlackFriday deal good value. 2. Fitting: didn't disappoint me, the tires are reasonably smooth. Tip: make sure they are nice and warm, so put them near the heater or in the sun for a few hours. 3. Ride: comfortable, despite 5 bar front and 5.5 bar rear. Quiet. No more seams between paving stones. Good grip, even in turns where it is wet.

Excellent tires. I live in Amsterdam and there is often a lot of glass on the bike paths, yet I hardly ever puncture with these tires (that was different before I started using anti-puncture tires.

Sturdy tire with hefty tread protection but the future will tell how puncture-proof it is

The schwalbe looks like a solid tire that will last for years again. Mounting the inner and outer tire was easy. Rear wheel was a bit more work but on the Gazelle Orange no problem. Even without a drammounting device. Brake and gear cable did not have to be disassembled. Just re-tension the chain. But that is necessary from time to time.

The tire searches very much in along grooves in stone pavement, even laid tight, the tire searches the grooves making you feel like the bike is sliding sideways.

Fine solid tire that rides well

I am now riding Gazelle Balance E bike for 5 years and 45,000 km with the same front tire (S.M.), no punctures and normal wear profile, despite the extra many revolutions, while the rear tire, a Schwalbe Marathon PLUS, has now lasted 10,000 km this year. Previously the S.M. lasted 4 to 5,000 km, but always a strange wear profile. Both sides worn out, but the tread almost not. In total I had 2 punctures.

With this super tire you will ride thousands of miles without annoying punctures.

I chose this Schwalbe tire for my city bike because I had such excellent experiences with Schwalbe tires on my (Santos) vacation bike. The tire is easy to fit. Be careful to keep the direction of travel in mind. (Indicated on the tire, but not very clear).
