Ortlieb Frame-Pack

Well made and easy to use product.
I bought this for a 'up and down' Wales cycle tour. It fitted to the bike well (road bike), is light and well made, and kept everything dry.

Good fitting waterproof frame bag, and you can check that before purchase with Ortlieb's pdf templates

Top product!
Very nice product with high quality but the price is accordingly. I have the 4 litre and it fits very well in my road bike with a frame size 52. The 6 litre did not fit here.

Good, but not perfect
Definitely the weakest of the three main bikepacking bags from Ortlieb. Great quality bag with chunky waterproof zip mechanism. You can literally squeeze this bag and no air will escape. Lots of strong Velcro straps. However, there are a couple of issues: The zip is on the left hand side - not great if you’re right handed. Really lacks any internal structure, which means items are not particularly organised and it’s possible for the bag to “bulge”, which means the straps slightly catch on my legs when riding. There is a Velcro strap to hold the sides together, but that makes it awkward to load/unload. It’s not a deal breaker, but it should have been better for the price - perhaps some internal plastic panels like with the seat pack would have helped to prevent the bag from deforming from it’s contents.

Great product
Have mounted this bag on my Riese & Muller e-bike. It has two batteries in the frame so the straps of the Ortlieb are too short. However, was able to solve this easily by buying and mounting extra velcro straps.

Good storage, waterproof.
Very good product.

too expensive for so many problems
Stripes at the top caused me a problem because they were too long and were sticking and scratching during the ride. Eventually, I had to tape them to the side of the bag. It May work ok with thicker bike frames. When the bag was left in the rain it was moist inside. In general, too expensive for so many problems. The fabric of the bag however is strong and nice.

Good product but be careful when loading
The seam on the separation breaks after a year, which is a bit annoying because the separation also prevents the pannier from widening (which hinders pedalling). Loading is not easy with this type of opening. Otherwise, installation is easy and the waterproofing is impressive.
