When you're on the road every day in a country that's often humid (or even wet...), this brand has absolutely nothing left to prove when it comes to the waterproofing of its products. What's more, they're remarkably easy to use and install. The price is well justified!

If you are going on a cycling vacation then I would definitely consider purchasing these bags. They fit a lot and are also ideal for daily shopping. Convenient to use. I bought them on the recommendation of a friend who has had them for a few years and the bags are still nice in color.

Takes some getting used to, but once everything is adjusted properly, you can place the bags on the luggage carrier with a smooth motion. Taking them off is even easier. Big plus is the fact that you can adjust them very well, so that they are tight, don't rattle and don't get in the way. The shape (tapered) also ensures that you do not easily hit them with your heels (which I often have with other bags). Another advantage of the tapered shape I find is that you can easily remove the contents. With a previous Ortlieb, which was quite high and narrow and not tapered, the contents easily got stuck. Also bought the (long) anti-theft cables with it. A bit of a fumble to install them. Well designed: when not in use, you slide them into the carry strip of the bag so they don't get in the way. I'm not sure I find the carry strap very useful. Quickly gets in the way when not in use. Is also a bit on the short side. But if you have to take two, it is convenient to hang one on your shoulder so you still have one hand free.

For the daily commute to and from work, a satchel is all you need. The capacity of a pannier means you're ready for any detour when you need to make a few essential food purchases. Great shoulder strap for carrying the bag like a large shopping bag.

Pannier has been in use for two weeks for commuting. Like it so far. The bag is waterproof and you quickly take it off the bike or put it on. The first time it was especially difficult to adjust the lower connection, but once it is in place, it is easy to use.

Had been looking for decent panniers for a long time, finally I bought them. They are not cheap, but they are well worth their money. Bags are waterproof by roll-up system, with a simple click so attached and so detached again. They are also light, strong and one can put a lot in them. The bags stay put even when riding on bumpy roads. Regret that I did not buy them earlier.

Bought my first bags when I lived in Germany in 2014 and they were used almost daily until before Christmas when they gave up. Good and easy to pack and have always held tight. So when it was time for new ones, it was of course a pair of Back Roller Classic again.

Super easy and solid installation, convenient carrying strap, stands out well with good reflective stickers and it also holds a lot without getting wet. In short Top Bags!

Waterproof. Precisely adjustable on your rack by hand, so no tools needed. Stays securely in place when impacted. Two handy side pockets inside so you can quickly find wallet, documents, tools. And a large main compartment. Removable from your luggage carrier with one move. Fairly hard-wearing. Equipped with refectory material. In short, all the good ideas for a travel bike bag in one design. Costs a few pennies, but then you have something. I wouldn't know what to improve on it.

Super processed, real relief - otherwise I was always on the road with backpack - and a real space miracle. Only the shoulder straps are rather well-intentioned instead of really helpful. Clearly you wear the bag actually on the wheel - if you take it but then loaded the carrying is not very comfortable - then but prefer to reach for the bag with "backpack function" ;)

Perfectly meets my expectations, even if the panniers are less compatible with the haibike sduro's luggage rack.

Great well-established product with easily adjustable fixing mechanism and totally waterproof. The roll-top closure and strap adjustment takes a bit of getting used to, but it's worthwhile studying the instructions and watching a YouTube video to get it right. Great price at Mantel too. Cheaper than some of the 2nd hand ones on eBay!

Initially had a cheaper pannier bag when me and my wife started bike commuting. My wifes bag fell off while cycling with her computer in rhe bag. Thats what made us buy a pair for the both kf us. Worked perfectly for us. Easy to put in or take off but remains perfectly secure while cycling. Now bought a second pair for our upcoming bike tour.

We were introduced to Ortlieb when we went on a cycling holiday in Holland and they were fitted to our hire bikes. Loved them, hence bought them for our own bikes here in the UK. So simple to fit and 100% waterproof!

I heard a lot of good things about the Ortileb pannier bags and I wasn't disappointed. The quality is great and are really easy and quick to put on to the rack and to remove them.

Having changed from a Brompton recently these bags do take a little getting used when rolling them closed and securing on the bike but I imagine that's the same for all pannier bags. The bags themselves had lots of space within especially when you only want to make a single trip to the supermarket. Shipping from the Netherlands to the UK was super fast - I ordered on Thursday afternoon and they arrived on Monday morning, probably faster than if I had ordered them a UK-based retailer!

I spoje to someone from Mantel. The person was very helpful. I was clarifying an issue before l bought the bicycle panniers. You could make it clearer the litre size and the exact model type. I bought x2 Ortlieb bicycle panniers and an really pleased by this purchase. Before l bought a cheap bicycle pannier and it basically fell apart. These Ortlieb bicycle panniers, hold enough for me to do a large shop and carry back on my bicycle. I like the amount you can fit into the panniers, the bright colours, the sturdy quality and the easy attachment and release system. The positives definitely outlay the negatives, but if there are negatives l would say these two things: (1) It's vdry easy for the release strap to get caughtbinside the plastic grasping hooks, which then make a it hard to release the panniers. (2) The fabric strap on the outside of the pannier, is not long enough to clip on when you have a lot of stuff inside the pannier. I have to use an elastic strap in order to close the pannier.

There's no denying that these panniers are probably the best available. They're easy to use, well-made and have lots of well-thought out features. I can't think of how this design could be improved on, but if I really had to come up with a negative it would be the straps. They're fiddly to tuck into the little holders to prevent them fouling the wheels as you ride. The only other negative would be the price. It's a lot of money, but they do look like they're built to last.

I have an Ortleib pannier from the nineties and it's still going strong as an everyday commuter pannier. No tears or rips. Still waterproof. These new panniers will no doubt give as good service. Very good value via Mantel.

An excellent pannier. I've knocked one mark off because Ortlieb have changed the Back Roller Classic from the original allen key based fitting system to the newer plastic fittings. Still an excellent product but I'd have preferred if Ortlieb had kept the original zero maintenance fittings.

Took these bags on an overnight cycle camping trip. Enough space for everything I needed, but if you go for longer than a weekend with tents/bivvy bags then they wouldn't be enough on their own. Great quality, would 100% recommend, just be aware that they have no internal pockets so using drybags or something similar to organise your stuff is a good idea.
