Fine lightweight helmet
I have worn many brands of helmets, this one is the best in terms of fit. I have a narrow and pointed head, so other helmets always clamped on my forehead. This helmet does not. The helmet is remarkably light, really a feather! Helmet also ventilates very well, you really feel the air over your head. It's even a bit chilly in colder weather! Only the straps, because you can't adjust them, are a bit weird for me when standing upright. In cycling position, they don't bother me. You can adjust the straps a bit forwards or backwards. I only miss a helmet bag or pocket, which is standard with a Kask, for example.

Great lightweight helmet for racing
Very light helmet, goes great with the mountains!

Very good helmet for warmer days, well worth its money!
The Abus Airbreaker is a very pleasant helmet for cycling. The helmet is very light and has a good fit so you hardly feel it while cycling. In hot weather, the extra ventilation holes are also very pleasant to keep the head a bit cooler. Finally, I also think the helmet looks very nice (you don't have a mushroom head like with other helmets). So all in all, a top helmet that is definitely worth its money!

Best and finest helmet
This is the best & finest helmet I have ever owned. I use it with road biking & mountain biking in summer & winter. Lightweight, fits nicely (my head doesn't mushroom) and does its job. I broke my previous one and immediately ordered the same one again. Not a moment's hesitation.

Almost perfect helmet
Nice Helmet sits well and is very light! Only they hit the mark in my opinion with the non-adjustable chin strap and cheap look!!! Should have been better for a helmet that is not really cheap.

Great looking helmet.
My other helmet is a Kask Protone and I’d say that this is on par with that for safety, style and air flow. I love the flip flop colour which changes between blue and purple depending on the viewing angle. Would def recommend.

Fine helmet with great looks, plenty of ventilation and low weight
I have the white variant myself. Nice helmet that you hardly feel because of its low weight. The helmet is a bit narrower than other helmets and clearly has a lot of ventilation. You can feel this when you cycle a bit harder. I always wear a thin helmet cap underneath because I hate insects flying into my helmet. I would expect a helmet in this price range to have extra safety features such as MIPS. I also find it strange that you cannot adjust the straps at the ears. This does not bother me, but I can imagine that this is not the case for everyone.

A stunner of a helmet and works very well to keep cool
I waited a long time for this helmet to come into stock, and I was not disappointed. Firstly it’s a great looking helmet, it sits low on the head and doesn’t look like a mushroom. Then there is the cooling element, I’ve been out twice in over 20 degree heat and have returned home both times at a comfortable temperature. My previous Kask Mojito I thought was a well ventilated helmet but this I feel is a worthy upgrade. Also they hold your glasses in them very well without any movement I only wish that for the price there was a bit more adjustment around the ears as the straps are sewn and also that there was a leather chin strap or similar, but neither have really caused me any issue.

Por el precio pagado cabría esperar más detalles de un caso de este precio y gama alta. Pero es un buen casco cómodo y buen diseño

Great premium helmet focused on lightweight and ventilation - be conscious of non adjustable strap
Overall a very nice fitting, quality, lightweight and well ventilated helmet. I bought this helmet as I overheat easily and so needed something with good ventilation. Tested in Gran Canaria for 1 week climbing in the mountains and it made a big difference in terms of cooling compared to my semi-aero Met Rivale helmet. One issue i had was that the straps arent adjustable around near the bottom of the ears. Might be just me, but the straps kept crossing over my earlobes a little. This i sensed would be quite annoying over time. So i did a bodge job and cut and re-stitched the straps myself - which isnt ideal. Most online reviews have cited this isnt a problem for most people though.

Great fit. Great ventilation. Great looks. Recommended
Apart from a certain bright purple Specialized (I think) helmet that resembled a bunch of bananas back in the 90’s I’ve only ever had Giro helmets. For me, Giro helmets were the perfect blend of form, function and most importantly, fit. Having a fairly large noggin I found that a lot of brands came up short in one or two areas so was reluctant to change. After reading a review or two regarding the fit being similar to that of the Giro (ie more oval than round) I took a gamble and ordered the Abus Airbreaker. Luckily for me Mantel had it on offer which meant I could get it shipped to the UK under the threshold imposed after the brexit catastrophe. Within a few days the helmet arrived and thankfully the fit was spot on. The adjustability is great meaning a perfect fit could be obtained. This helmet is also light. You can easily forget you’re wearing it after a few minutes. It is also really well ventilated - probably the airiest helmet I’ve ever worn - a few rides in the current UK autumnal weather had me reaching for a headband as the windchill was noticeable. Should be an excellent lid for the summer! Overall I’m impressed and would recommend this helmet. Some would argue that the lack of MIPS or similar is a deal breaker but I prefer the more stable fit of a non-MIPS helmet and the optimal ventilation as the result of having no liner to block the airflow

Light and comfortable.
Very good, lightweight helmet that is super comfortable. Lots of ventilation, nice and fresh with even a "net" at the top where you can put water that is evenly distributed for when it is super hot. Which then does imply that in colder days a hat underneath may be necessary. The only disadvantage is that the straps on the side are not adjustable, so they are a bit open for me. But doesn't bother me when riding.

Top helmet!!!
The perfect helmet for my small head. Fits nicely and doesn't look big, which most 'small-size helmets' do. So light that you almost don't mind wearing a helmet. And airy! That's perhaps the biggest plus! Ready for summer!

Slim design, doesn't look like an egg on your head
After some searching, I finally found a helmet that fits closely. I have size L, but do have a narrow head, which made just about every helmet look like an egg on my head. This helmet does look normal and good. For this price though, I would have expected a storage bag or spare mousse in the box.

Optically beautiful helmet, but disappointing quality
The two stars are purely for the product. Service from Mantel absolutely 5 stars. After defect, I received a full refund of the purchase price in the form of shop credit. But that is also directly my experience with this helmet. Nice, good fit and very light, but I have never seen such a clumsy fixing of the padding. With some kind of screw so badly put together that the screw broke off at even the slightest resistance when I wanted to replace the padding. And that replacement was already necessary within a year because the padding is so thin that it gets saturated quickly. Sweat dripped down my glasses after every half-hour of cycling in summer. For this money, really a disappointing product from Abus. I will stick to my Kask Protone. Admittedly slightly heavier, but much higher quality padding and better workmanship.

Goede lichtgewicht helm die goed zit. Ziet er goed uit met goede ventilatie door de helm. De helm is wel aan de prijs.

Nice light helmet!
Really light helmet. Personally, I find the adjustable dial at the back obsolete. In that respect, lazer has invented a nice solution with an adjustable knob on the top of the helmet (AND Mips).

Sleek & comfortable but at a cost
I was looking to replace a very old (10 yrs +) Bell helmet and tried a number of different styles. I wanted something that didn’t make my head look any bigger than it already is. Although expensive, this helmet from Abus fits really nice. I have a long-ish face, 60cm circumference and went for a size large in white. It’s really light and less noisy than the old Bell helmet. Two downsides. 1. I didn’t realise that the straps were fixed/non-adjustable under the ears. With a bit of adjustment in the inner settings of the helmet I can get the fit of the helmet just right. And by tucking the straps under the earlobes this keeps the straps flat. This is not uncomfortable. 2. At this price point I would have expected a storage bag to protect the helmet! Would recommend if you’re looking for a light, low profile, not overly wide helmet.

Super lightweight
This is a very lightweight helmet with a lot of ventilation. I'm riding in a hot country so it helps a lot to keep my head cool during rides. This is the lightest helmet I have by far. On the label, for size M (52-58 cm head circumference) it says the weight is 220g. On my kitchen scale however, it's 197g. While riding I feel like I'm not wearing any helmet at all. It's that light! I'm very happy with this helmet and I can see myself using this for a long time. The only downside is the price, quite hefty for a helmet without MIPS. I guess the absence of MIPS is what keeping it light Oh, another thing, it looks pretty sharp! That is important too :D

Small, light and fast
A great helmet from Abus l have a large head ( I’m a bighead ) and the large size fits perfectly.I like the fact that it does not look big on, not a mushroom. The only thing I have found is the padding is very thin, other than that it’s great, it’s cool great airflow,it’s light very and looks good even in white, great product.

Great weight & Airflow
Replacement for my Giro IONOS helmet, Better Airflow & considerably lighter, Unfortunately the small retaining clip that holds the internal pads fell of & now the padding isn't secure?? but it is a easily replaceable clip.. Apart from the clip issue, I would highly recommend this Helmet especially from Mantel.com with its unmatchable price Weight: 5 Stars Comfort: 5 Stars Looks: 5 Stars Cooling: 5 Stars Durability: 4.5 Stars
