Description

Description

The Polar H9 heart rate sensor comes at a more affordable price than the Polar H10 heart rate sensor. It can be connected with your watch, cycle computer or fitness device via Bluetooth, ANT+ or 5kHz, and is compatible with the free Polar Beat app. A unique feature is that the H9 can connect to a Bluetooth and an ANT+ device simultaneously to allow you to see your heart rate on your sports watch and cycle computer at the same time. This makes the Polar H9 a very all-round product! With a battery life of 400 hours, a battery lasts about a year if you train one hour a day.

In the Polar Beat app you will find real-time heart rate monitoring, training goals and guidance, and performance analysis. Users also have access to Polar Flow for more extensive data analysis and an overview of progress over a longer period of time. Compatible with iOS mobile devices: iPhone 5s and later, with iOS 12 or later; Android mobile devices with Bluetooth 4.0 capability, and Android 6.0 or later. Thus, you can use the Polar H9 with most modern smartphones. If you are looking for a quality heart rate sensor with the aim of using it with your favourite Polar device or smartphone, then choose the Polar H9!

Technology

Waterproof, suitable for swimming
The Polar H9 is suitable for use during long swims. Polar has not had an independent party test the product for water resistance, which is why it doesn't have an official IP rating; yet Polar has done a lot of testing itself. As a result, Polar states that the product is water-resistant up to 30 metres deep. In practice, this means that you can go swimming with this product, but it would not be recommendable to actually dive to a depth of 30 metres with it!

ANT+
The ANT+ connectivity allows you to connect this device to other devices that use the ANT+ protocol. Thus, products from different manufacturers can be linked smoothly. Many cycle computers and compatible sensors feature this wireless technology through which all your sensors and devices can exchange data easily, enabling you to have all your data in the right place.

Bluetooth
Thanks to the Bluetooth connectivity you can easily connect this product to most smartphones and view your training data in all your favourite fitness apps, such as Strava, Runkeeper, Endomondo and Wahoo Fitness.

Solid product that does what it should do: measure your heart rate.

- Elke 22 April 2022

Have used this heart rate belt extensively for a good 4 years now. I think it has now given up its life. The strap on which the meter sits is very robust and after 4 years there is still nothing to see. Replacing the batteries is very easy. Easy to pair via Bluetooth and just does what it is supposed to do: measure your heart rate.

Batteries are easy to replace
Long service life
Solid
Strap lasts forever
Occasionally loses signal
