The MET Echo MIPS is an MTB helmet that is perfect for novice mountain bikers. The construction of this helmet features a number of similar technologies that you will also find in higher-end MET helmets.
In-mold construction and MIPS fall protection
The MET Echo MIPS features an In-mold construction, where the polycarbonate helmet shell and EPS liner are molded together. This makes the helmet more sturdy and it provides a lower weight. The protective surface around the neck has been enlarged, so that this vulnerable part of the body is better covered. Thanks to the addition of MIPS fall protection, the risk of possible brain damage has been reduced even further. This system is very effective in absorbing the lateral and rotational forces that can occur during a fall. If you wear a helmet without MIPS, the impact of a fall is only absorbed by a compression of the EPS foam lining.
Perfect and comfortable fit
The Safe-T Mid Fit system allows you to perfectly adjust the MET Echo MIPS. The helmet straps are also adjustable, allowing you to customise the fit even more. The padding in this MTB helmet provides increased comfort, and it can be removed from the Echo MIPS and washed by hand.
14 ventilation holes to keep your head cool
To minimise the risk of your head overheating, the MET Echo MIPS features 14 ventilation holes and internal air channels. This allows cooling air to enter and leave the helmet, which is very useful during intensive rides on the mountain bike.
Removable visor and reflective sticker
On the front of this MTB helmet is a visor. This provides good protection against low-hanging branches and the sun. If you do not want to use the visor, it can be removed from the helmet. On the back of the MET Echo MIPS a reflective sticker is added, which makes you more visible in the dark.

Great helmet for a beginner like me. The chances of hitting a tree with your snout are quite real, making a good helmet crucial. This helmet combines a nice design with a good fit.

Would definitely recommend him.

I sit with head circumference at 62cm, helmets of many brands go up to 62cm, where it actually just doesn't fit, and especially not with winter layers.
Pros & Cons
Feels very light.
Pressure points on my head well distributed.
Suitable for a larger head circumference.
Ventilation
None found yet.
