The compound of the brake pad can differ and each compound has its advantages and disadvantages. Soft (Resin/Organic), Advantage: high braking force, good dosage, little noise, can be used on all brake discs. Disadvantage: wears faster, less heat resistant. Medium (Semi-Metallic), Advantage: good braking power and dose ability. Disadvantage: can not be used on all brake discs, makes more noise during braking, wears faster than fully metallic brake pads.
