Description
The Giant Defy Advanced 2 is the comfortable carbon racing bike that will give you even more fun in cycling. The carbon frame can handle up to 35 mm tires,has a nice finish with the internal cable routing and in terms of steering it offers a lot of stability. This gives you a lot of cycling fun for this particular budget.
The frame is made of the lightweight advanced carbon fibre. The plus about this is that Giant has made this Defy stiff sideways, but vertically its still somewhat flexible. This makes this Defy a comfortable, yet fast road bike. The rear fork and seatpost give some flex, so your lower back and pelvis have less vibration to deal with. Also the handlebars with the D shape are aimed at some extra vibration absorption. Because of this, this Defy also feels great for your wrists.
The assembly is done with the Shimano 105. That means very good shifting performances and a large gear range. With the 50-34 crankset and the 11-34 cassette you can now drive uphill 1 on 1. Leading to the Defy driving very nicely in the mountains. And with the hydraulic disc brakes you have a lot of braking power and good controllability.
The tubeless tyres are also a smart choice for this Defy Advanced 2. These 32 mm tyres give extra comfort, grip and on worse roads offer a lower rolling resistance. Additionally, with the sealant you are well protected against punctures. It's not for nothing that tubeless is becoming more and more popular with road bikes.
This makes this Giant Defy Advanced 2 a comfortable and fast road bike, ready for all your rides on flat terrain or up in the hills and mountains.
