The Colnago A1-R aluminium frame takes you to a whole new level of performance. Every property of the bike has been thoroughly studied and then designed to meet the legendary Colnago standard. Speed, flow, stability, and lightness are rooted in its DNA. A new method of building and welding has made the bike not only look great, but ride brilliantly as well!

Particular attention has gone to the tube junction design, providing maximum torsional rigidity without sacrificing comfort. Working from that same idea, Colnago has opted for a 27.2 mm seat post. This type of post is thinner and more flexible, but also lighter than a larger diameter post.

Again staying with the topic of weight saving and comfort: Colnago used a front fork with a carbon fork tube to further improve both. Other stand-out features of the Colnago A1-R are the press-fit bottom bracket and semi-integrated cables.

Note: All the bikes sold by Mantel come with the front brake on the left, and the rear brake on the right of the handlebar. If you’re accustomed to another set-up, then consider having this changed by an expert, or take your time to get used to the current set-up.
