Castelli Alpha Jacket

The Alpha is a lightweight jacket that protects you against wind, cold and rain. This jacket is equipped with Windstopper 150 on the frontside and the sleeves. This fabric is lightweight and fully windproof, excellent breathable and with a water repellent finish just like you are used to from the Gabba and the Nanoflex arm-/leg warmers.

The special thing about the Castelli Alpha jacket is the double layer at the front. This makes this jacket a base layer and winter jacket in one. The inner layer can be closed with its own zipper. Would you like some refreshment? Unzip the outer layer of the jacket open to let some fresh air blow in. The inner layer transports moisture to the outside and it keeps you warm. The back of this jacket consists out of a double layer which is not attached to the other layer, this is for improved insulation. As a result, a windstopper on the back is not necessary, so the backside is very breathable.

In this jacket there are five pockets, one of these pockets is on the front side with a zipper. The rear features four pockets, one of them has a zipper. The sleeves and bottom of this jacket have a nice finish and fit perfectly with your gloves and pants. So no thick edges but nicely elastic and laser cut ends. The Castelli Alpha Jacket is truly the best jacket from Castelli.
