RECALL: Crank Arm, Samox Acid MTB Hybrid Gen4 Pro (2025)

26 August 2025

Are you the proud owner of a CUBE MTB Hybrid (MY25) bike with a Samox ACID GEN4 PRO crankset? Then this information is important for you.

What is the issue?

In some MY25 models, the crank arm may come loose. This can be caused by:

  • An excessively thick coating on certain crank arm bolts, preventing the bolts from being tightened to the correct torque.

  • A crank arm ISIS fit that falls outside the tolerances.

The above may cause play or damage to the crank during cycling. To remedy it, the crank bolts must be replaced and the crank arm itself must be checked to ensure it is within the tolerances.

Which models are affected by this recall?

The recall applies to all CUBE MTB Hybrid models with a Samox ACID MTB HYBRID GEN4 PRO crankset from model year 2025.

Nature, forests, single tracks- nothing quite beats it! I've been active as an amateur racer for several years now in XC and Marathon events. I use a BMC Fourstroke FS01 or Trek Superfly Elite for the single tracks, and a singlespeed cyclocross- or roadbike for the fun. I work as a manager at Mantel.com.
