If comfortable cycling is what you're looking for, the Batavus Finez is a great choice.
Bike of the Year
The Batavus Finez was voted Bike of the Year 2020, and rightfully so. It is a city bike that offers great comfort and meets all your needs, also in terms of looking stylish! With its quality components it will get you from A to B safely and easily, and it will make you enjoy every single ride.
The Batavus Finez is a city bike that offers a very comfortable ride and has many cleverly chosen components. You can be sure that this is a purchase you will not regret.
A suspension fork and a suspension seat post; when you find these on a city bike, you can be sure that you will ride very comfortably, as they smooth out any bumps in the road. For the Finez, the fact that these components are mounted on a very stable frame on which you sit pleasantly straight, further enhances the bike’s comfort. And with the adjustable stem you can customise your sitting position to your liking. Batavus developed the frame of the Finez in collaboration with Delft University of Technology. Together, they were able to give this city bike not only great comfort but great handling as well.
Low-maintenance all-rounder
Batavus was voted Bike of the Year 2020 and it was a worthy winner, as it was praised as the ultimate all-rounder. Thanks to the suspension, it can cope very well with bad roads or even dirt tracks and offer a smooth ride on any terrain. Thanks to the 7-speed hub, it offers just the right gear range. The closed chain case prevents dirt getting to the chain and makes the chain low-maintenance so that you can continue to cycle without a worry on your mind. And if you want to use the Batavus Finez as a touring bike, there is no reason why you couldn’t or shouldn't!
Convenient features galore!
The fact that the Finez was called the ultimate all-rounder refers to more than just the drivetrain. The bike has Vizi lighting, which is powered by a low-maintenance hub dynamo. This Vizi lighting has a daytime running mode as well as a sensor which automatically switches the mode to high beam when it gets dark to ensure visibility at all times. Batavus has also given due consideration to the location of the lights to reduce the risk of damage to them when the bike is being parked in a bike shed, for example. Another big plus on this city bike is the hydraulic disc brakes, which provide optimal braking power in all circumstances. This is important for any type of use, whether it’s your rides in the city, to work and back, or your touring rides.
