Technology

Rider comfort
The frame of the Batavus Fier 2 electric cargo bike is made of aluminium. A plastic box has been mounted on the frame. The box has a maximum load capacity of 80 kg and features a safety rail. This rail makes the frame more rigid, which then makes the bike very stable to handle. The children can also hold the safety rail during cycling. A step has been added to make it easy for children to get in and out of the box.

Powerful assistance
The Fier 2 has a powerful Bosch Cargo Line mid-mounted motor that provides natural feeling assistance, so you can easily transport the children from A to B. You can choose between three different batteries. With the 300 Wh version, you can cycle some 40 kilometres before having to recharge. The 400 Wh version gives you a range of about 50 kilometres, and with the 500 Wh battery you can cycle approximately 60 kilometres. The bike comes with a clear Bosch Purion display, which provides all the basic information you need, such as your speed and range. You can operate it without having to take your hand off the handlebar.

Gear shifting and braking
This electric cargo bike features the Enviolo stepless hub gears. These enable you to find the right gear even when going against the wind, as this system has no jumps between gears. It also handles the large amount of power coming from the motor very well, which prevents any technical problems. Furthermore, the Batavus Fier 2.0 has hydraulic disc brakes, whose main advantage is that they deliver a huge amount of braking power to enable you to come to a stop on time at all times, even when the road is wet or dirty.

Other components
Batavus has developed its own lighting system, called Vizi. The rear light projects a V shape on the road, so that other road users can see the safe distance around you. For parking your Fier 2 you can conveniently use the double stand and Abus ring lock. If you want to add other accessories, you can easily attach or mount those by using the rail system.
