The frame of the Batavus Fier 2 is made of aluminium. Mounted on this is a bin made of plastic. This has a load capacity of up to 80 kg. The bin is equipped with a safety rail. This rail provides additional rigidity to the frame, the riding characteristics of the electric cargo bike are very stable. In addition, children can hold on to the safety rail. On top of that, there is a step so that children can easily get on the bike.

Powerful support
The Fier 2.0 has a powerful Bosch Cargo Line mid-motor. This mid-motor provides natural support, allowing you to easily transport the children from A to B. You can choose from three different battery options. With the 300Wh variant, you can cycle about 40 kilometers before you need to recharge the bike. The 400Wh model gives you a range of around 50 kilometers and the 500Wh model gives you a range of 60 kilometers. The cargo bike comes with a Bosch Purion display. The Purion display shows all the basic data you need for a ride. For example, you can read the speed and range. Moreover, you can operate the Bosch Purion display without having to take your hand off the handlebars.

Shifting and braking
The electric cargo bike uses a Shimano Nexus 5-speed gearhub. With these 5 gears, even with headwind, you will easily be able to find the right gear. As a plus, this gear hub can effortlessly handle the large amount of power from the motor, preventing technical problems. The Batavus Fier 2.0 is further equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. The big advantage of these disc brakes is that they deliver a huge amount of braking power, which means you will always stop in time when needed.

Other parts
Batavus has developed its own lights, the Vizi lights. The rear light projects a "V-shape" on the road, so other road users can see what the safe distance is. The electric cargo bike is parked with ease thanks to the double stand and the Abus ring lock. If you want additional accessories, you can easily mount them to the rail system.
