The aluminium frame of the Batavus Altura is not only light and durable, but also offers an upright seating position that ensures comfort and a good overview in traffic. This geometry ensures a balanced weight distribution, especially with the mid-motor, resulting in stable ride characteristics and intuitive handling.
Groupset and brakes
Equipped with a Shimano Nexus 5E gear hub, the Batavus Altura offers a wide shifting range of 263 %, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal speeds for both flat and slightly hilly routes. Tektro HD-T275 hydraulic disc brakes ensure consistent braking performance in all weather conditions, so you can always ride safely and with confidence.
Finishes and accessories
The Batavus Altura features robust 42 mm tyres that excel on both asphalt and light unpaved terrain. For added safety and security, the bike comes with an Axa Imenso lock and e-bike battery-powered lights at both the front and rear. The enclosed chaincase and the luggage carrier with a load capacity of 25 kg complete this bike for all your city adventures and shopping trips.
