With the X-Caliber 9, Trek has developed a mountain bike that puts fun first. This top model in the X-Caliber series has a robust aluminium frame with sophisticated geometry for maximum fun on the trails. Excellent components and an air suspension fork ensure control and comfort on all rides.

Sleekly finished and versatile frame
The frame of this MTB is made of lightweight aluminium, giving you direct and stable steering. The cables run through the frame, providing excellent protection from splashing dirt and other debris. In addition, the frame has various mounting points for a carrier and stand. So with minor adjustments, you have a sporty bike for daily rides. Suspension is very important when riding a mountain bike, which is why Trek has fitted a RockShox front fork with lock-out. A lock-out allows you to lock the suspension travel while riding. On tarmac, you cycle most efficiently without suspension travel, while on dirt roads you can make excellent use of that suspension. So the lockout ensures that you can cycle as efficiently as possible on any surface.

Smooth shifting
The X-Calibre 9 comes with the Shimano XT/SLX drivetrain. These are great components that allow you to shift quickly and smoothly. You have access to 12 gears and a 10-51T cassette. This makes for a wide gear range, allowing you to get up the steep hills in a fine gear. Trek has opted for Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes deliver fine braking performance and are easy to modulate.

The right tyres
On this mountain bike, you have access to the Maxxis Ardent Race tyres. These tyres offer a good combination between low rolling resistance and plenty of grip. In addition, the tyres and rim are tubeless-ready, allowing you to ride tubeless. Tubeless riding ensures lower rolling resistance, and you are also much less likely to go flat.
