The SRAM Apex 1 Wide Crankset with single chainring combined with a wide cassette range is perfectly tuned for gravel. The SRAM Apex 1 Wide crankset with aluminium crank arms has a good power transmission and a nice design where the chainring fits very well to the crankset. The crankset features direct mount X-SYNC chainrings that keep the chain on the front chainring. The axle has a 29mm DUB fit in your bottom bracket.

The SRAM PG-1231 XPLR cassette has a wide range of 11-44T. Combined with a Sram Apex XPLR 40T crankset, you have enough range for recreational use. The advantage of this cassette is that it has a traditional HG fit for 10-11 speed Shimano bodies. This gives you more choice in a wheelset and you are not restricted to a Sram XDR fit.

The Sram Apex XPLR AXS rear derailleur incorporates the technologies of the Force and Red AXS rear derailleurs, but is made from less high-end materials.

X-SYNC
A technology used for narrow-wide chainrings milled to keep the chain perfectly centred. Thanks to the narrower and wider teeth on the chainring, combined with the cage tension of the rear derailleur, the chain cannot run off the chainring.
