Good pedalling efficiency
The composite surface of these pedals is ergonomically shaped and extra wide. As a result, the power you exert on them is transferred efficiently to make you ride faster and with more control. This surface also ensures increased comfort and a reduced chance of developing foot complaints. In addition, a steel plate has been placed on the pedal body to reduce wear.
Durable and smooth inner mechanism
The cup & cone bearings combined with the ChroMo steel axle ensure a long pedal life. The axle also rotates smoothly, minimising resistance during pedalling.
• Stainless steel pedal body plate for increased durability
• Durable sealed cartridge axle unit
Weight excluding cleats (as weighed by Mantel):
• 310 grams per set
• Set of 2 SM-SH11 SPD-SL yellow cleats

Good value for money
Fine pedal, I'm not a top athlete and it all doesn't have to be super light but it has to be good and that's where this product has an excellent price/quality ratio. Have also held the more expensive models in my hand but find that too expensive for my cycling activities. Pedals can also be adjusted well to click in/out easily and quickly otherwise no fuss. Have had the R500 and the 105 (cheaper/more expensive) variant on my previous bikes but don't notice any difference.
